In a shocking turn of events, the media recognizes that homosexuality is animalistic. St. Basil the Great offers hope in the midst of our beastly appetites.
I’ve always been curious at the justification for any actions by comparing to the animal kingdom. Especially by believers of Darwinism. Shouldn’t the more highly evolved creature define itself by distancing itself from its unevolved cousin? Yet, it is that exact point which often gets spoken over. I believe most thinking adults would be able to weigh the truth in their mind about these statements. The problem is, that when you’re presented with the fact over and over again as a child, it sticks with you. There used to be a funny website dedicated to this very idea. People grow up thinking one way having been told something by an adult and realize that their way of thinking was weird when they come to adulthood. One personal example is a friend of mine believed for years that when her ears hurt she “had wind in them” because that was what her father had told her one time. It wasn’t until college she realized that it was wrong and there’s no such thing as wind in your ears.
We don't always have time to verify everything we believe, sometimes we take it on authority from a trusted figure. The issue is when the authority shouldn't be trusted either because at best they are not a subject matter expert and confused or at worst are subject matter experts but devious.
Ooh, great point! I often question the narrative because of this. Doesn’t matter the subject :) I also look for original sources. For example, Origin of Species is very different than Darwinism. As the Bible is very different from many practices of Christianity. Source materials are necessary for correct interpretation. In other words, hear experts out, but test everything.
I had to reread "New South Wales Kindergarten curriculum to educate children about sexuality and consent"
4 year olds?
Yes. They are teaching young children about sexuality and consent using the examples of animals. It would laughable if it wasn’t tragic.
Yikes
New sub, enjoyed reading your post. 🙌
Thanks for the sub! Happy you enjoyed it, bro.
